Donors and volunteers from the St. Michael’s community joined baseball fans for “Donor Day at Diamond,” a family-friendly event on a beautiful spring evening at St. Michael’s Mark Felice Baseball Field on Friday, April 22. With fans in the stands and a complimentary cookout at the “friend-raiser,” attendees were acknowledged for their efforts by Leah Esparza, St. Michael’s Director of Advancement, and treated to live music from one of the school’s CruBands as they prepared to watch a major rivalry game against the Regents Knights team.

“The goal for the event was twofold,” said director of donor relations Suzanne Bautch, “to thank our generous community for their amazing contributions of time, talent, and treasure in support of St. Michael’s this year, especially with respect to our new HALO campus and curriculum campus expansion project, and to cheer on our team as they competed against Regents for a playoff spot.”

All around, it was a win-win for St. Michael’s. Sitting in the stands of the newly turfed and branded stadium, fans and visitors saw plenty of action in St. Michael’s blowout victory over the Knights. The Crusaders fired up the offense from the first inning and pulled away for good with five runs in the third inning. . .
