The annual NWACA 4th of July parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the intersection of Far West Boulevard and Waterline Road, and will continue along Far West until they reach Doss Elementary. The Freedom Fest party will begin around 9:30 in the Doss parking lot and will include floats, vintage cars, and the beloved brigade of lawn-chair ladies. The Tarrytown Fourth of July parade will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 4th. The parade starts at Tarrytown Texaco at Exposition and Windsor, and ends at the Reed Neighborhood Park for a community party from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants can begin lining up at Tarrytown Texaco at 8:15 a.m. All are welcome!

The Westlake 4th of July parade begins at the SouthState Bank Parking Lot at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 4th. The Westlake Fire Department will lead the parade from the parking lot. The route continues down Westlake Drive, Rocky River, and Reveille Road, and will conclude back in the parking lot. Make sure to wear your patriotic best to this anticipated community event!

Preservation Austin and Austin Planning are hosting a Q&A panel on June 23rd at the McFarland-McBee House, located on 3805 Red River St., from 6 to 7 p.m. The panel, titled “Ask a Preservationist,” allows the opportunity for community members to ask questions to preservation professionals. Zilker Theatre Productions will present its 67th annual production this summer at the Beverly S. Sheffield Zilker Hillside Theater, located at 2206 William Barton Drive. This summer’s play, “Singin’ in the Rain,” will run July 10th-August 15th, Thursdays through Sundays at 8:15 p.m. Entry is free. Bring a picnic basket and blanket, sit on the lawn, and enjoy.

The Hill Country Galleria Independence Day Celebration will take place Saturday, July 4th, at the Hill Country Galleria from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. You can peruse food and clothing vendors lining the Galleria streets or listen to live music at the Central Plaza. There will be fair rides, complimentary face painting, and a fireworks display after sunset. Admission and parking will be free.

Allday Pizza will open a new location in the former Reid’s Dry Cleaners & Laundry building at 3720 FM 2222, by Dry Creek Drive. Best known for its New York-style pies and mix of classic slices and house specials, the location is expected to open in the next year.
