For more than 40 years, St. David’s Foundation’s Toast of the Town has hosted fabulous parties that feature the best of Central Texas from exclusive venues, intimate gatherings with special guests, and unmatched culinary experiences.

This year’s Toast of the Town kicked off with an elegant evening featuring a tasting from Chateau de Pommard, one of the most recognized wine estates in Burgundy. Hosted at the top of the Austonian by Kathlene and David Crist, Tobie Funte, Susan and Clint Hackney, and Deborah O’Connell and William Stassen, guests were treated to an intimate two-hour sommelier-led Burgundy tasting featuring rare and premium wines not available commercially in the United States. Guided by Sommeliers Christian Trembley and Grace DeCoske, attendees’ tastebuds were transported to the French wine region, as they helped educate and draw out the key aromas and flavors with each sip. While savoring the world-renowned wines and taking in the captivating Austin skyline atop one of the city’s tallest buildings, guests also enjoyed scrumptious bites from Austin Catering.

Toast of the Town raises critical funds for the St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship, the largest healthcare scholarship program in the state of Texas. For more information, visit toastaustin.org.
