Every year, St. David’s Foundation’s Toast of the Town hosts a series of events that showcase the best of Central Texas offerings, featuring acclaimed chefs, award-winning authors, and world-class athletes.
This year, guests were treated to an all-star-studded party at the gorgeous home of Judee and Chad Barrett. The party featured The University of Texas Longhorn’s baseball Coach Jim Schlossnagle and Longhorn legend, All-American standout, and College Baseball Hall of Famer Brooks Kieschnick. In addition to these two Longhorn Baseball stars, a few standouts from the current team also joined the party that included a Tex-Mex dinner from Lupe Tortilla. Guests enjoyed special remarks by Coach Schlossnagle about Longhorn baseball and his debut season with the team. Attendees also got a special treat with an exclusive set by Texas Country singer-songwriter Django Walker.
The Toast of the Town events all benefit St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship program, the largest healthcare scholarship program in Texas. This one-of-a-kind program helps ensure that deserving Texas scholars are given the opportunity to become health care professionals. For more information, visit toastaustin.org.
