Red Dot Art Spree 2025 kicked off its annual fundraiser on Sept. 11 for Women & Their Work, showcasing 163 art works and 131 artists to 400 community members who were entertained with tasty bites, cocktails and mocktails, and music by DJ Mira Mira. The Red Dot 2025 exhibit ran through Sept. 21 and raised $175,000 for Women & Their Work.
Rachel Stephens chaired the event. Honorary chairs were Beili Liu and Kathleen Irvin Loughlin.
The Red Dot Host Committee was Lee Buckwalter, Gail Chovan, Courtney Cole, Jana Cothren, Alicia Emr, Marjorie Flanagan Kelly Frye, Keli Hogsett, Tobin Levvy, Robin Logan, Marla Mauricio, Liz McGuire, Brittany Petrilli, Claire Warner, and Maggie Wylie.
Red Dot celebrates Austin’s vibrant arts community and helps raise vital funds for Women & Their Work to support year-round exhibitions and no-cost art education programs, including It Takes Art to Spell SmART, which reaches 1,100 under-served school kids each year.
Women & Their Work, at 1311 E. Cesar Chavez St., is a nonprofit arts organization that, for almost 50 years, has been a catalyst for contemporary art created by women who live and work in Texas and beyond. Women & Their Work has brought groundbreaking art to Austin with exhibitions, performances, and educational programs.
