Mama Betty’s is expanding to a North Central Austin location at 7001 Burnet Road. The Tex-Mex Cantina will be the second Mama Betty’s in the area, joining the Parmer Lane location later this year. Owner Jason Carrier named Mama Betty’s after his mother who spent 20 years in the restaurant business. “She started as a hostess in the early 80s and just kind of climbed the ladder.
