Regent's School of Austin will host its first home football game of the season at their campus, 3230 Travis Country Circle, on September 11th against Antonion. The 2025 District, Area, and Regional Champion Knights will be led by their new head coach, Kyle Shotwell.

Neko Yubu opened on August 8th at 1910 Guadalupe St. on West Campus. The Dallas-born spot specializes in Korean-style yubu, a fried tofu skin marinated to taste juicy and sweet.

Katz’s, an Austin staple restaurant since 1979, began construction at its original location on August 11th. This will be Katz’s sixth location, and the restaurant is projected to open in late spring of 2027 at 618 W. 6th St.

Postino WineCafé is opening a third location at the Village at Westlake in late summer 2026, located at 701 S. Capital of Texas Hwy., Ste. J760, Austin. The hip wine bar is known for its unique charcuterie boards and expansive wine menu.

The Mackenzie Club coming to Westlake

The Mackenzie Club, a 33,000-square-foot private golf club, is now set to open in early 2027. The club aims to create a community for serious golfers and will offer eight TrackMan Simulator Suites, professional golf lessons, and more. It will be located in Westlake, at 260 Addie Roy Road.
