The charming Hotel Viata in West Lake Hills was the setting for this year’s Women’s Symphony League’s (WSL) 15th Annual Red Haute “Love in Bloom” Style Show and Luncheon, supported by Title Sponsor Knight and Mrs. Claymon Cipione. The stand-out occasion was limited to just 250 guests and was a memorable afternoon of fashion, fun, and philanthropy that unveiled a delightful preview of the season’s hottest trends for children of all ages.
A group of fifty child models, including WSL members’ children, walked the Red Haute runway and showcased fashions from Alexia Gavela Bridal, Bright Beginnings Boutique, Fragile Eccentrics Clothing, House of Shan, and Kinda Crazy Kids Company.
The trendy event was emceed by Yvonne Nava of KVUE, and, in addition to fashion, the day featured many exciting experiences. The ever-popular Hugs & Kisses game included beautiful diamond earrings from Benold’s Jewelers, and exclusive silent auction and raffle items were donated from premiere Austin vendors. An elegant afternoon tea followed.
Guests also enjoyed shopping at the long-time favorite, specially-curated Annual Marketplace, which included stylish items from various local boutiques.
“Red Haute has always been about more than a beautiful runway, it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and the joy of giving back,” said Red Haute Chair Amy Hoge Hajdu. “Seeing families, volunteers, sponsors, and young models come together to support the Austin Symphony Orchestra makes this event incredibly special. ‘Love in Bloom’ perfectly captured the spirit of the day — vibrant, heartfelt, and full of purpose — and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make this milestone 15th year unforgettable.”
The delightful event was coordinated by a committee that included Hoge Hajdu, Ruth Adams, Sara Jane Cantwell, Kelley Clark, Natalie Cody, Carrie Comer, Melissa Constantinides, Allison Edwards, Patricia Ephlin, Megan Helmbrecht, Carrie Humphreys, Margaret Johnson, Kayci Johnson, Kalisa King, Jill Klucher, Kristin Parr, Lauryn Robison, Christina Tewes, Ellen Williams, and Sue Webber.
For over 72 years, the Women’s Symphony League of Austin has dedicated its energy, talents, and volunteerism by providing service and financial support to the Austin Symphony Orchestra. The Women’s Symphony League is the largest annual financial supporter of the Austin Symphony Orchestra. Over 50,000 children benefit from the innovative educational programs of the Austin Symphony Orchestra every year.
