For more than three decades in education, Colleen Lynch has dedicated her career to forming young lives. As Head of School, she is leading St. Michael’s Prep into a remarkable new chapter.
A respected educator and accomplished administrator, Mrs. Lynch brings both experience and vision to Central Texas's only PK-12th-grade Independent Catholic school. With an Undergraduate Degree from Brown University, a Master of Education from the University of Texas, and 31 years in education, she is known for the kind of leadership that is both strategic and deeply personal: grounded in high standards, guided by mission, and focused on the flourishing of every student.
Since 2014, Mrs. Lynch has played a pivotal role in shaping the St. Michael’s Prep community. Her leadership helped guide the successful merger of St. Gabriel’s Catholic School and St. Michael’s Catholic Academy, uniting two strong schools into the vibrant, unified institution St. Michael’s Prep is today.
More recently, she has worked alongside the Board of Trustees and Leadership Team to advance a bold five-year strategic plan, guide the campus master plan, and lead the school through a comprehensive accreditation, all while strengthening a culture where challenging academics, joyful learning, faith formation, and enduring values go hand in hand.
