On Tuesday, April 5th The Salvation Army Austin Women’s Auxiliary hosted their 1st Annual Spring Event, “A Garden Party of Tablescapes and Spring Style Show”.
The event was hosted by the lovely Hotel Ella with a room overflowing with guests eager to be with friends and raise funds for a worthy cause. The American Society of Interior Designers, Austin Chapter, provided a breathtaking gallery of tablescapes.
Stephanie O’Neil of Estilo Austin provided casual, day and evening wear fashions for the show as well as a fun pop-up for shopping. Amanda Tatum emceed as the event’s Honorary Style Show Chair.
The Event Committee was led by Kate Ferguson of Flourish Plant, and its members, Elizabeth McCormick, Sherry McGillicuddy, Jill Durkee, Anne Monnig, Thresa Nasi, Susan Baker, and Cathy Present created a beautiful day to launch many more like it.
Auxiliary President, Cathy Present, and Austin Salvation Army Area Commander, Major Jacqulyn Reckline are thrilled to see the newly formed Auxiliary growing to support and serve those in need of lasting change.
Proceeds exceeded $50,000 and will benefit The Salvation Army Rathgeber Center for Families, which ensures a future without homelessness. The Center provides counseling, budgeting, life-skills, education completion, sustainable job and housing placement and after care for two years following program completion.
