The Magellan International School invites the Austin community to its Makers Fair, which will be held on March 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 7501 North Capital of Texas Hwy. Alejandro Meola will perform live in Austin on March 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Carousel Lounge, 1110 E 52nd St., to debut his new album, VIVO. Both a textile studio, Open Arms, and an organic farm, New Leaf Agriculture, are part of the nonprofit Refugee Collective, training and employing people to sew and farm. Pease Park Troll is ready for visits. Troll sculptor Thomas Dambo and his team built the huge troll from recycled, repurposed, and found materials, including a fallen pecan tree from Govalle and an old wooden water tower at UT’s JJ Pickle Research Center. Pease Park is at 1100 Kingsbury St.
