The West Austin News brings readers the latest in local news, but we can’t do it without you! Send us your story ideas about what matters to you. Guidelines:
• Call or email with a brief description of the event or subject. Be sure to include who, what, when, where and why.
• Provide a contact name and phone number.
• Photos are always welcome. Please make sure the photos are high resolution (300dpi) and include names of people in the photo (from left to right).
• Include photo credit or byline if desired.
• Deadlines: for best consideration, send materials by Friday noon for upcoming issue.

For Wedding and Engagement Announcements:
• Engagement announcements generally run 100 to 150 words. Cost for engagement announcements is $125 for non-subscribers and $175 for subscribers.
• Wedding announcements generally run 350 to 400 words. Cost for wedding announcements cost $300 for non-subscribers and $400 for subscribers.
• Text and photos may be emailed, personally delivered on disk or mailed. Please include a self-addressed envelope if you would like the photo returned.
• Please pay in advance using cash, check or credit card.
• Please specify run date desired. We publish every Thursday.
